Rainbow Dreams students out perform students in Math and Reading, according to State Testing.
Rainbow Dreams Academy Charter School opened its doors to 52 students in grade K-2 in August of 2007. By the end of the first year of operation the enrollment tripled and the third grade was added. The primary focus of the Academy is to work with the "at risk" and underserved population as defined by state statutes. By providing a firm educational foundation that celebrates diversity and cultural appreciation, the Academy has developed a set of core values and principles that emphasize the important of academics while offering support in self definition to each student. This foundation is supported by a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to the educational success of each child.
Our state -of-the-art- facility provides small teacher/child ratios, a highly qualified faculty, parental and outreach support programs and a challenging academic curriculum with a strong focus on early childhood literacy. The Academy features full -day kindergarten in an intimate campus environment where doors are open to explore endless possibilities in a structured new world designed to develop a lifelong love for learning. Currently 301 children in grade K-6 are receiving educational and supportive services.
Enrollment in Rainbow Dreams Academy is free and open to all children residing in the Clark County School District.
Working together, the staff, students, parents, and community of Rainbow Dreams Academy are dedicated to providing a nurturing learning community that will educate and prepare our students to challenge their intellect, maximize their talents, respect themselves and others, and take pride in their heritage, so that they become lifelong learners and productive, successful citizen.

We have an exciting new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) program for 2016-2017 academic year, full of learning experiences and exciting challenges for ALL of our students.

Our before and after school program, Dream Care will begin on the first day of school. Before your child can attend Dream Care, it is required that you complete the application prior to the student attending.
Morning care drop off starts at 6:30 am during active school days.
After school students are to be picked up no later than 6:00 pm.

Mandatory Parent Orientations
If you have multiple students at RDA, it is mandatory that you attend at least one of the “Mandatory Parent Orientations”. We have planned this meeting to ensure families are well informed and have an opportunity to meet new staff. We have new and exciting changes taking place. Parents and Guardians are a very important part of our team, in leading our students to a world of knowledge. We say here “Team Work, Makes The Dream Work”.
Monday, August 15, 2016 - Kinder, 1st and 2nd Grades, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Tuesday, August 16, 2016 - 3rd, 4th and 5th Grades, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Wednesday, August 17, 2016 - 6th and 7th Grades, 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Our Academic year for students will begin August 22, 2016. Students who are not attending Dream Care are allowed on campus no earlier than 7:40 am in the morning. Student will be instructed to line up by 7:55 am daily to participate in Harambee. Harambee is our morning meeting named after a Swahili word that means, “Let’s pull together.” School begins promptly at 8:00 am and dismissal will be 3:30pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Every Wednesday is early dismissal at 1:30 pm for all students.
